The SuperCard Installer installs SuperCard's support files (located in the SC Pouch folder) in one of two possible locations depending on what version of the OS you are running the installer under.
In OS 8.6 thru 9.x, the SC Pouch is installed in the same folder as SuperCard. However in OS X, the SC Pouch is installed into the Application Support folder located in the Library folder of your startup drive. The reason for this is that SuperCard needs to write to these files occasionally, which is not possible for non-admin status users if the SC Pouch is located within the default "Applications" folder of OS X.
SuperCard is smart enough to know where to look for the SC Pouch under the Mac OS it was installed under, but you will be asked to locate the SharedFile (which is located in the SC Pouch) when you first run it under the "other" OS version. Once you have located it, SuperCard will write its location to a preference file for that OS version and you will not be asked again. For this reason we recommend that if you plan to use SuperCard under OS X, you should run the installer under OS X (and run SuperCard for the first time under OS X). This way you will avoid any permissions problems with the SC Pouch when running in OS X or Classic versions of the OS.
